I joined your site in November of 2002. On Dec 31, 2002, I met a woman who would become the love of my life. We talked daily, for hours on end, and soon had the strong desire to meet in person.
On Jan 24, 2003, we met in Las Vegas, Nevada while I was there on temporary duty with the military. From the first moment that I saw her, I knew that I wanted to be with her more than anything else in the world. The sparks flew from there from both sides. On Feb 3, 2003, I went out to California to meet her family and to spend two weeks with the woman I love. Before I left, we had decided that she would move out to Texas with me when I was reassigned to a base out there. She came out to visit me in New Mexico from the 7th to the 10th of March 2003. And on the 7th, I offered her my heart and soul in the form of a ring – yes, I asked her to marry me.
Who would have thought that a military man in New Mexico and a woman who was born and raised in California (who also did not want any man outside California) would ever have the chance to meet and fall in love.
Some may say we have moved too fast, but only we know what is right for us. We are planning our engagement to last about a year, but if the time is right, we will get married sooner.
I leave New Mexico in 3 days to move to Texas and, quickly on the 30th, fly out to help Julie pack her belongings and move out to Texas for us to enjoy our new life together. Thank you for your service. Without you, Julie and I would never have had a chance to find true love.
